(no subject)

I went to a party last night. The couple that hosts our D&D games had one for her birthday, and they invited us, their neighbors, and a few other people. Outdoors for more of the night than not, at least. There was a good deal of alcohol, none of which I drank, though they knew I didn't, of course. Being the only sober person present can be an interesting experience sometimes, though honestly I heard more interesting stuff the last time it happened about twenty years ago. There was also badminton, where a handful of the guests had some ability and the rest of us weren't quite as good, though at least I might have been getting the racket on the birdie more often by the end of my second go at it. I also got to witness beer pong for the first time. I still have no idea how it works, but it did seem to get pretty exciting, with both games having close finishes.
We also learned a bit more about our DM when he showed up at 11:30, two and a half hours after he'd been expected, already drunk off his ass, which he had warned us about beforehand. He spoke of shenanigans, but I didn't get very many details of those, unfortunately. I left a bit after midnight; I have a limit when it comes to these events.
Went down to Old Town today and bought a book about the history of the Louvre as a building. My feet are now very sore, and the newly arrived heat got to me more than expected.
