Mom and I went to the hairdresser again today. This time, it proved an alarming reminder of the way American society is currently going. We were still supposed to masked in the place, but our hairdresser was not, even after I told her I would prefer her to be and even reminded her about my mother's age and our sharing a house. Mom, however, might have been more distressed to hear she now disliked Biden, though she wasn't able to give a concrete reason why. She apparently also swore she still hated Trump and would never vote for him, but that won't do much good if people like her just stay home come 2024.
Once again I left as soon as she was done with me. At least this time the temperature out was decent enough to walk home.
