Oct. 30th, 2021 02:21 pmThis week's events involved my badge briefly going missing, the dungeon master's kickball teammate testing positive for COVID the day before his Halloween party, and a lot of rain, but mainly things breaking. Entry pads, toilets, and car mirrors, to be specific. The car mirror in question still needs to be fixed, and it goes into the shop Tuesday, so mom and I went and voted today instead. Apparently there's been good turnout in recent days, which is a good sign, even if we endured a guy shilling his way down the back of the voter line for the one Republican running for city council. Possibly was the candidate himself, I'm not sure. Mom was unhappy when I was less than polite to him, but I will not be polite to Republicans accosting me in the voting line. Besides, being their only candidate guarantees he'll be voted in anyway (that's why they put up only one), so it wasn't like there was even much point to his being there.
Not sure whether I'm more disappointed or more relieved to bail out of the Halloween party, to be honest. Though the likelihood of another one next year has crazily gotten me thinking of putting together some sort of cosplay, since now I'd have multiple purposes for it. I'm weirdly tempted to figure one out for Imogen.
I'm also weirdly tempted to buy Elder Scrolls, even though I've never played a video game in my life. Guess that form of advertising on their parts is working.
