Almost Done, Only Not
Dec. 30th, 2020 05:41 pmEach year has been getting worse than the last one for a while now, but I suppose if 2021 wants to be worse than 2020, it's going to have to involve the world imploding completely. The again, there remains a strong likelihood of just that happening sooner or later. Or maybe we'll just spend the entire year still in quarantine thank to this slow rollout, which may or may not make me go completely bonkers.
At least the government didn't shut down after all, though a lot of people are taking this week off anyway. I, on the other hand, am spending it sifting through the new ebooks in our ProQuest subscription package. December's always a big month for that, but this is the first time we've had more than 10,000 of them! This is going to take me a while. I felt a little energized at the beginning of the week, but that's now long drained. The sinus issues aren't helping, especially since I was hoping to record my new song this weekend, but it's one that has me hitting the top of my vocal range, which I can only do when my passages are clearer than they are right now.
Still taking solace in Critical Role, especially since my presents also included the first two volumes of Vox Machina: Origins, which was an interesting reed. We knew the basics of the story, and of course it's adapted to fit the medium, but are certain lines and moments in it that you know must have come directly from the table. Also ( just finished episode 102... )
