Although we've lost some of the biggest pleasures of the holidays this year, there now will at least be a few. Mom and I went to get our tree on Sunday, a week earlier than usual, and we weren't the only ones, according to the guy who helped us get it on top of the car. It's a little bigger than we've gone for, too, though still not too tall for us to easily decorate. Meanwhile, we had accepted my sister's proposal of a gift-exchange done over Zoom. I'm afraid we ended up ordering almost everything over Amazon, which at least means it'll arrive pre-wrapped, though I found the process of getting two gifts ordered and sent to my sister and brother-in-law's house to be trickier than I'd anticipated, and my mother struggled with it even more. And apparently their gifts for mom and me will arrive in one big box, and how we'll manage that for the unwrapping meeting I'm not sure.
Those gifts were all ordered yesterday, and mom and I ordered gifts for each other today. So in theory everything will be in place by the end of the weekend, but I suspect we may sit on the gifts for a number of days.
Mom wants the two of us to watch It's a Wonderful Life Christmas Day. Combined with Russian Nationals, and that might fill the day up. If enough of their skaters are capable of competing by then...
