I just finished watching episode 44 of Vox Machina. That's one episode that is truly a very different watch if you know not only what's coming, but how much it changed the entire campaign. I'd even seen the clip of it. Except I didn't remember exactly when/how it happened, which means I dreaded every time the beholder fired a beam at Vex during the fight. Then, of course, they actually found the leathers, and I was watching everyone be so light-hearted and relieved they'd gotten through the fight, and even though I didn't actually remember I didn't have to-I knew it had to have happened then. Of course it was much more impactful this time around. These characters now mean so much to me. Also, I knew who the two guests characters were; I didn't when I first saw the clip.
Tomorrow, of course, there'll be another episode of the current campaign, though at this point I think we're all waiting for the show to go dark again, and we'll have to see how many episodes they'll have left to air. But this has become the summer of Vox Machina for me. Probably the year, since it'll likely take me the rest of it to finish.
