I left home this morning having read that there would be a small amount of snow this afternoon. Shortly before lunch, we got the news that a snow squall was now expected and we would all need to head home by 1. It was just started to rain as I left the Pentagon, and it was in the rain I traveled home, though the snow had already started accumulated west of here. About twenty minutes or so ago the rain started turning into snow, and it's falling thickly outside the window. I think I might be spotting the first flakes to stick on top of the fences right now, though I think the ground's still too warm. I'm hoping my mother gets home before it really starts to accumulate...
We've definitely escaped a lot of it here in Alexandria, though looking at the temperatures tomorrow icyness could very easily be a problem in the morning. That's typically the biggest problem, really. Though given how much harder it's getting to predict the weather, who knows.
