Sep. 11th, 2019 05:57 pmFor all the bad things that have happened since in the name of it, in the Pentagon, at least, 9/11 really is always going to be the day our own building was attacked and over a hundred of our own died. Except today, it was instead the day Trump came onto the premises and as a result we were all advised to be in our offices by 8:15, or we might get trapped who knows where with normal traffic of the building halted. I practically breathed a sigh of relief when I got off the metro around 8; I'd worried about the bus being late or the train taking too long. That does not set much of an atmosphere of respectful remembrance.
Instead I got caught in the thunderstorm coming home just now, and now I'm worried my mother did too, since she's not here but her car is. Hopefully she took an umbrella with her.
