Jun. 29th, 2019 07:58 pmHad a good time in New York City. I had a day at the Met museum, and also went to the Museum of the Moving Image, with an impressive Jim Henson exhibit, which were great, when my legs weren't killing me. I went on the water taxi, on a day which also involved my being on a metro train when it broke and we all had to stand there for half an hour before we could finally evacuate. DC is not the only city with major subway issues, it seems. Thursday I saw 80s jukebox musical Rock of Ages, which was loud but fun, especially when they got to the better songs included in the soundtrack. I also got to Central Park where I got lost in the Ramble, and to the Strand, as well as to a Midtown Comics, where I bought a Howard the Duck volume.
There's no stopping right now; tomorrow my sister comes over so we can plot out the August trip to France, and the next weeks will be busy ones at the library too. Wimbledon starts on Monday and I haven't even been able to wrap my head around that one.
