I've reached the day mark

While I am certainly in favor of moving yesterday's holiday to a more appropriate date (such as Election Day), I did enjoy my day off yesterday. Made a trip to the Botanical Gardens for the first time in years, and wrote this. Though it was a strange one to write now, the week of the five-year anniversary of my own father's death.
