For the past three weekends, I have been struggling to do a recording of "Hallelujah" that did the two months of rehearsing justice. Messing up the accompaniment was only one of the problems; my sinuses kept interfering with how well I could sing it, plus there was trying to make the tempo and mood what I wanted.
Then, today, I went to see Hamilton with my sister and her friends. Spent an afternoon being taken by the musical all over again, this time live and with stage drama thrown in. Then we went out for Chinese food, and I came home, sat down, and finally recorded this:
