(no subject)

Getting a bit overloaded in this quiet week. I've spent the past two days recreating spreadsheets someone accidentally deleted, all while trying to finish tasks from last week, dealing with the upcoming delivery of new library furniture, and trying to get rid of the paper copies of materials we now have available electronically. All the while, I continue to wonder if the library will even survive the years ahead. Having to blog Dancing with the Stars two nights in a row just adds to the exhaustion.
Meanwhile, mom and I have been invited to Thanksgiving dinner by our neighbors, the German-born widow of an ambassador and her disabled son. She and mom became friends after they were both widowed and the four of us even went to a play together last year, but because of his condition they tend to keep themselves to themselves a lot. It could also be a busy day; mom went to see Loving today and now wants to go again with me, possibly before we go over. And then of course the minute we get home afterwards I have to start my pre-NHK Trophy nap...
