Still snowed in
Jan. 25th, 2016 01:12 pmGovernment closed today, and now that I no longer have Nationals to watch I'm getting cabin fever. Though even if it's still closed tomorrow, mom and I will still have to go out for more bread and milk and orange juice. Possibly some other things, depending on whether we can get the car in commission and how much we're willing to carry if not.
All her friends have been contacting her to ask if we're all right. Not the first time the world's noticed a storm wrecking the American Eastern Seaboard. It's kind of odd, though. It's not like we ever see reports on their weather, unless there's a massive human tragedy involved.
Rewatched the Snape scenes from Chamber of Secrets just now, and yesterday flipped through Emma Thompson's screening diary from Sense and Sensibility, including Alan Rickman's commenting on the first scene he filmed being the wedding at the end and dubbing himself "Colonel Weathercover" because his scenes were the ones filmed when the weather didn't allow for the outdoor ones. I'm still finding it hard to believe he's dead.
