Compos Mentis
Aug. 24th, 2013 10:03 pmDad seems to be more himself in very recent days. He is eating a few mouthfuls of food at a time, talking coherently, and has now said he wants to consult with a doctor up in NYC whom he rejected when first diagnosed. My mom will be calling them next week. It is certainly a relief, though I fear it will be a short-lived one still.
But meanwhile, our dishwasher is rapidly ceasing to work. It's hard to find someone willing to repair it without insisting on expensive kitchen upgrades we may never be up for during the best of times, let alone now. Some of the stains left behind on the dishes was off pretty quickly, but others take so long to clean you wonder why you bothered putting them through the dishwasher first.
Mom struggling to figure out how to use our new iPhones. I'm used enough to the iPad, but still trying to figure out how to completely turn it off so it won't ring.
