Jul. 17th, 2013 09:12 pmDad has had the tube removed from his stomach, and the people who gave us the stuff with which we fed him this past month are supposed to come take it away; he is now eating fully by mouth. I think he's eating slightly more at dinner too, but he continues to have to eat smaller and more frequent meals than most people. Meanwhile, brother-in-law to be was supposed to come home from the hospital, but this is being delayed as the post-surgery complications hit. The rabbi who is supposed to marry them sent out an email to various guests asking us to provide blessings for the ceremony, apparently not quite realizing my sister really wants non-denominational, never mind the whole emerging complication of the groom having cancer.
Strangely enough, my work week now being four days thanks to the furloughs have not prevented those days from dragging on and on into eternity. I think it's partly the slowness of events in the office caused by so many people being out for a day each week.
